Isaac David Kalt was born December 15, 1881 in Grodek Jagiellonski, and died on July 12, 1942 in New York. He married Yetta Immerdauer in December 1904 or 1905 in Komarno, Galicia. (Komarno is 38 km SW of Lvov, had a Jewish population of 2,047 in 1920). They had one daughter, Mirla (Millie), who was born in Lvov on January 19, 1912.

Isaac came to US on the SS Homeric in 1927, arriving in New York. He immediately went to Detroit, where he lived with Samuel Kalt, and then returned to New York in 1929. Apparently Isaac was quite religious, and one of the reasons he went back to New York was that Samuel's family was not as religiously observant. He apparently worked as a painter (His immigration record lists him as a sign painter).

Yetta and Milie came to the United States in 1930 on the SS Olympic, arriving in New York in September, 1930. On their immigration records, Yetta was listed as a housewife, and Millie was listed as a "domestic".

Isaac Kalt lived at the following addresses:

Isaac dued in 1942 at Gouvereur Hospital in New York. On his death certificate, his profession was listed as "carpenter". According to Millie, he was a Hebrew scribe and ran a general store in Komarno, Poland.

After Isaac's death, Yetta remarried and after her death in 1952 was interred under the name Yetta Schwartz.

Millie married Sam Berkowitz in 1938. Sam worked as a hat finisher for many years. Later he worked as a field clerk for the New York State Department of Taxation. Millie worked as a floor girl and later as a draper in the Garment District in the 1940's. They had one daughter, Deborah, who was born in 1950 and currently lives in the Bronx, New York.
